Fire Door Inspection

Fire door inspection is the annual 13-point NFPA 80 inspection that proves every fire-rated door assembly in your building will close, latch and hold under fire conditions. Doors are a critical part of your compartmentation strategy — and the Ontario Fire Code requires every commercial, multi-residential, retirement and institutional building to inspect its rated openings every twelve months.

First National Fire Protection performs fire door inspection on stairwell doors, suite entry doors, smoke doors, electrical and mechanical room doors, and rated frames throughout your portfolio. Every door is photographed, documented and rated against the NFPA 80 checklist.

Where we find deficiencies, we provide a prioritized remediation plan — closers, hinges, smoke seals, intumescent strips, latching hardware and full labelled door assemblies. We supply and install replacements as part of the same service.
