Fire Alarm Installation
CAN/ULC-S524 design & installation · CFAA-certified · Licensed Ontario electricians on every job.
What is Fire Alarm Installation?
Fire alarm installation is the design, supply and certified installation of a complete CAN/ULC-S524 fire alarm system — from the panel and risers through every initiating device, notification appliance and annunciator. Whether you're building new, fitting out a tenant space or replacing an obsolete conventional panel with a modern addressable system, the installation must be permitted, inspected and verified under CAN/ULC-S537 before the building can be occupied.
First National Fire Protection provides full-scope fire alarm installation across Ontario for commercial, industrial, multi-residential, healthcare and institutional projects. Our CFAA-certified designers, licensed Ontario electricians and project managers take the job from drawings through permit, install, AHJ verification and occupancy.
We install and service every major panel platform — Mircom, Edwards, Notifier, Honeywell, Simplex, Bosch, DSC, Napco — so your fire alarm installation is built around the right hardware for your building, not whatever the contractor has in the truck.

Ontario Fire Code & Insurer Requirements
The Ontario Building Code requires a CAN/ULC-S524-installed and CAN/ULC-S537-verified fire alarm system in every new commercial, industrial, multi-residential and institutional building, and in every major retrofit. Occupancy permits will not be issued without the verification report on file.
A non-compliant fire alarm installation creates direct liability for the owner and the contractor. Every job we install is permitted, inspected by the AHJ and third-party verified — no shortcuts.

“We had an unexpected city inspection at one of our short-term rental properties and discovered our fire safety systems were not up to code. First National Fire Protection responded immediately and was on-site within days. The service was thorough, informative, and efficient — exactly what we needed under pressure. We'll be using them for all annual inspections, repairs, and maintenance going forward. Highly recommend.”
