Fire Suppression Repair
Clean agent, CO₂ & dry chemical systems · Post-discharge recharge · Control panel and detection repair.
What is Fire Suppression Repair?
Fire suppression repair covers the corrective and post-discharge work on special-hazard systems — clean agent (FM-200, Novec 1230), CO₂ and dry chemical systems protecting server rooms, electrical rooms, MRI suites and industrial hazards. After any discharge the system must be inspected, recharged, hydrostatically retested as required, and the room re-integrity tested before it returns to service.
First National Fire Protection performs fire suppression repair across Ontario on every major platform. Our technicians recharge cylinders, replace detectors and control modules, rebuild solenoids and abort circuits, and verify the system is fully armed and supervised before leaving site.
We coordinate the room integrity test and re-acceptance documentation so your protected space — and your insurer — are back to a known-good state.
Every Fire Suppression Repair Visit Includes
Post-Discharge Recharge
Clean agent, CO₂ or dry chemical cylinders refilled to design weight by certified facility.
Cylinder Hydrostatic Test
12-year hydrostatic test on cylinders due before recharge — replaced if test fails.
Detection Repair
Cross-zoned smoke or heat detectors, abort stations and manual release stations repaired or replaced.
Control Panel Repair
Releasing panel modules, batteries and supervisory wiring repaired to listed condition.
Room Integrity Test
Door fan test repeated post-repair to confirm hold time still meets design concentration.
Re-Acceptance Sign-Off
Full sequence test in non-discharge mode with documented re-acceptance for AHJ and insurer.
Ontario Fire Code & Insurer Requirements
A discharged or impaired fire suppression system leaves a high-value space unprotected. The Ontario Fire Code requires the system to be restored to listed condition without delay; insurers require post-discharge fire suppression repair documentation as a condition of continued coverage.
Server rooms, MRI suites and electrical rooms are routinely red-flagged in audits when special-hazard fire suppression is found out of service — repair is rarely optional.
