Fire Suppression Installation
Clean agent, CO₂ & dry chemical systems · NFPA-compliant design · Server rooms, electrical & industrial.
What is Fire Suppression Installation?
Fire suppression installation covers the special-hazard systems that protect spaces where water cannot — server rooms and data centres, electrical rooms, MRI suites, industrial process equipment, paint booths and battery storage. The right system (clean agent, CO₂, dry chemical or water mist) depends on the hazard, the occupancy and the assets being protected.
First National Fire Protection designs and installs fire suppression systems across Ontario in compliance with the applicable NFPA standards — NFPA 2001 for clean agents, NFPA 12 for CO₂, NFPA 17 for dry chemical and NFPA 750 for water mist. We size the cylinders, run the discharge piping, install the detection and abort stations, and commission the system end-to-end.
Every fire suppression installation is room-integrity tested where applicable, the control panel is networked to your fire alarm and the abort/manual release stations are positioned for fast, safe access.
Every Fire Suppression Installation Visit Includes
Hazard Assessment
Site walk-through to identify the right agent and concentration for the protected hazard.
Cylinder & Pipe Install
Agent storage cylinders, discharge piping and nozzles installed to engineered drawings.
Detection & Control
Cross-zoned smoke or heat detection wired to a listed releasing control panel.
Abort & Manual Release
Maintained abort switches and manual release stations installed to NFPA spacing.
Room Integrity Testing
Door fan test on clean-agent rooms to confirm hold time meets the design concentration.
Commissioning & Training
Full discharge sequence tested in non-discharge mode; site staff trained on response.
Ontario Fire Code & Insurer Requirements
Server rooms, electrical rooms and industrial hazards require special-hazard fire suppression installation because a sprinkler discharge would destroy the very assets you're trying to protect. NFPA 2001, NFPA 12 and NFPA 17 govern the design, install and acceptance of these systems.
Insurance carriers and Tier-III/IV data centre standards typically require a clean-agent fire suppression installation as a condition of coverage. We hand you the design package and acceptance test record your insurer expects.

“We had an unexpected city inspection at one of our short-term rental properties and discovered our fire safety systems were not up to code. First National Fire Protection responded immediately and was on-site within days. The service was thorough, informative, and efficient — exactly what we needed under pressure. We'll be using them for all annual inspections, repairs, and maintenance going forward. Highly recommend.”
