Fire Sprinkler Installation
NFPA 13 design & installation · TSSA-authorized · Wet, dry, pre-action and underground fire mains.
What is Fire Sprinkler Installation?
Fire sprinkler installation is the design, hydraulic calculation, supply and certified installation of a complete water-based fire protection system to NFPA 13. From new construction to full retrofits in occupied buildings under Ontario's retrofit requirements, the system must be designed, permitted, installed and tested by a TSSA-authorized contractor.
First National Fire Protection delivers fire sprinkler installation for commercial, industrial, multi-residential, retirement, healthcare and parkade projects across Ontario. Our designers produce stamped hydraulic calculations and shop drawings; our installers handle wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems plus underground fire mains.
Every fire sprinkler installation is hydrostatically tested, flushed, witnessed and signed off — and we hand you the as-built drawings and the NFPA 13 documentation package on completion.

Ontario Fire Code & Insurer Requirements
The Ontario Building Code and Ontario Fire Code mandate sprinkler protection in most new construction and require retrofit in many existing buildings (notably all licensed retirement homes since January 2025). Every fire sprinkler installation must be designed to NFPA 13 and installed by a TSSA-authorized contractor.
A non-compliant fire sprinkler installation will fail the AHJ inspection and delay occupancy. Worse, an under-designed system can fail to control a fire — exposing the owner to claims that dwarf the original install cost.

“We had an unexpected city inspection at one of our short-term rental properties and discovered our fire safety systems were not up to code. We'll be using them for all annual inspections, repairs, and maintenance going forward. Highly recommend.”
