Fire Extinguisher Installation
NFPA 10 compliant placement · All extinguisher classes · Cabinets, brackets and signage included.
What is Fire Extinguisher Installation?
Fire extinguisher installation is the certified supply, placement and mounting of portable fire extinguishers throughout your building in compliance with NFPA 10 and the Ontario Fire Code. The right extinguisher class, the right size, the right travel distance and the right mounting height all matter — and AHJs will write a deficiency for any one of them out of spec.
First National Fire Protection supplies and installs every class of fire extinguisher across Ontario — ABC dry chemical, CO₂, wet chemical Class K, clean agent, water mist and Class D. Every fire extinguisher installation is preceded by a hazard walk-through so the right unit ends up in the right location.
We supply cabinets, semi-recessed and surface-mount brackets, signage and tag stock as part of the same job — a complete fire extinguisher installation package, not just a delivery.
Every Fire Extinguisher Installation Visit Includes
Hazard Survey
Walk-through to identify hazard classes (A/B/C/D/K) and required extinguisher coverage per area.
Unit Supply
ULC-listed extinguishers in every class supplied and tagged ready for service on install day.
Mounting & Brackets
Wall brackets, signage and mounting installed at NFPA 10-compliant height and spacing.
Cabinet Install
Surface-mount or semi-recessed extinguisher cabinets supplied and installed where required.
Initial Tagging
First service tag applied at install, with next-due date entered into your asset register.
Owner Training Kit
Monthly visual inspection guide and tag stickers provided for in-house staff.
Ontario Fire Code & Insurer Requirements
NFPA 10 and the Ontario Fire Code require portable fire extinguishers in every commercial occupancy, sized and placed by hazard class with maximum travel distances. A non-compliant fire extinguisher installation will be cited at the next inspection — and may compromise insurance coverage in the event of a fire.
Our fire extinguisher installation service includes the hazard survey so the building gets the right units in the right places the first time.

“We had an unexpected city inspection at one of our short-term rental properties and discovered our fire safety systems were not up to code. We'll be using them for all annual inspections, repairs, and maintenance going forward. Highly recommend.”
